This year’s high school graduation exam took place over two days, June 26-27, with more than 1.16 million candidates, an increase of nearly 100,000 compared to last year. Candidates taking the exam according to the new generaleducation program (2018) took four exams. Of which, the two compulsory subjects were Literature and Mathematics. Candidates would choose two out of nine elective subjects.
Geography is an elective subject, with nearly 480,000 candidates registering, second only to History. This subject is in the third and final exam session. Yesterday, candidates completed the Literature and Math exams.
Last year, the average score for the Geography subject in the high school graduation exam was 7.19, with the highest score achieved by most candidates being 7.25. Nationwide, nearly 3,200 candidates achieved a perfect score, while nearly 100 candidates received a failing score (1 or lower).
This year's exam scores will be announced on July 16. Candidates who want to have their scores reviewed must submit their applications by July 25. Candidates can register and adjust their university admission wishes from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
