Lao Ambassador to China congratulates Vietnam on 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day

The Lao Ambassador congratulated Vietnam on the great achievements it has made over the 80-year journey of fighting for independence, building and developing the country.

Lao Ambassador to China Somphone Sichaleune congratulated Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh.

In the joyful atmosphere of Vietnam celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on August 27, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to China Somphone Sichaleune led a delegation from the Lao Embassy in Beijing to visit and congratulate Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh and all staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in China.

Congratulating the great achievements that the Party, State and People of Vietnam have achieved in the 80-year journey of fighting for independence, building and developing the country, Ambassador Somphone Sichaleune emphasized the great significance of the friendship, steadfastness, and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, built and nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh , President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, through many generations.

The Lao Ambassador congratulated Vietnam on the great achievements it has made over the 80-year journey of fighting for independence, building and developing the country.

Ambassador Somphone Sichaleune affirmed that the two Parties, two States, two nations and peoples of the two countries have always stood side by side, supported and helped each other wholeheartedly both during the past struggle for national liberation and the current period of national construction and development; this is very rare in international relations.

Appreciating and thanking Vietnam for its great assistance that has been making important contributions to Laos' socio-economic development, Ambassador Somphone Sichaleune said that Vietnam's model of construction and development in the new era is a valuable reference lesson for Laos.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that Vietnam and Laos have been, are and will always accompany each other, sharing the good and the bad.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh shared that the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam were historical milestones; the upcoming 80th anniversary is an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the achievements of the struggle for national liberation and socio-economic development of Vietnam.

Expressing his sincere thanks and affirming that the solidarity, support and wholehearted assistance of the Lao people have contributed significantly to the overall victory of the August Revolution, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that Vietnam and Laos have always been and will always accompany each other, sharing the good and the bad. The great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos will continue to be preserved and promoted by generations of the two countries.

Appreciating the strong and substantive development of the bilateral relationship in all fields, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that the stable development of Laos is very important to Vietnam and affirmed that Vietnam will continue to accompany Laos in socio-economic development.
