Exhibition of Hanoi Capital - Cultured and Heroic - 80 years of journey with the country

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Hanoi city participated in organizing the Exhibition Space "Socio-economic achievements of Hanoi Capital" with the theme "Cultural and heroic Hanoi Capital - 80 years of journey with the country", taking place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh, Hanoi.

The event is within the framework of the National Exhibition “80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness”, in the subdivision “Rich province, strong country”.

Combining artistic and aesthetic creativity with the application of modern technology, the exhibition arouses patriotism, pride, solidarity, creativity, aspiration to contribute and inspires every Vietnamese citizen to have more enthusiasm to build a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" Capital, "Globally Connected", determined to firmly step into a new era, an era of strong, civilized and prosperous development.

This is also an opportunity to promote the image of the capital to the people of the whole country and international friends, affirming the identity and position of Hanoi in the international arena.

With an exhibition area of ​​about 700m², the exhibition is arranged into 3 main spaces connecting the flow of time from the past to the present with panels displaying 400 images, along with 30 artifacts and 10 typical models skillfully decorated with lighting technology, with highlights using modern 3D technology, holograms displayed through a large LED screen system to show reportage films, documents about the most typical achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital during 80 years of construction and development, including:

Space 1: Hanoi forever echoes the heroic song : A clever combination of models representing Hanoi's symbols such as Long Bien Bridge, Hanoi Flag Tower, Hanoi determined to die for the Fatherland; Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu battle in the air... with the display of photo panels fully demonstrating the economic and social achievements of the Capital from the early period of the country's founding to 1975.

Accordingly, 10 typical events will forever accompany the heroic fighting history of the army and people of the Capital, demonstrating the spirit of "Determination to die for the survival of the Fatherland "; the exemplary leading role, both fighting bravely and actively competing with the people of the North in labor production, building a large rear base, devoting all efforts to supporting the great frontline in the South with the spirit of "Not a pound of rice is missing, not a soldier is missing". Being the place where many revolutionary movements of "Three readiness", "Three responsibilities", "Saturday to promote the struggle for national reunification", "Each person works as two for the beloved South; for Hue - Saigon twinning" ... were enthusiastically responded to by all classes of people in the Capital, spreading throughout the country; Along with the Vietnamese spirit of bravery and intelligence, it continued to be clearly demonstrated with 12 days and nights creating the resounding miracle of "Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air" , forcing the US imperialists to sign the Paris Agreement, ending the war, restoring peace in Vietnam; creating an important premise for the army and people of the whole country to achieve the Great Victory of Spring 1975...

Space 2: Reconstruction, innovation and development with the country : On the background of the models are the typical ancient heritage works of the Capital including: Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam is the LED globe model with doves spreading their wings against the blue peaceful sky, symbolizing the title that UNESCO awarded in 1999 to Hanoi - City for Peace.

In addition, there are artifacts showing the city's industrial and agricultural achievements; models and maps illustrating socio-economic growth through the stages and a system of maps: 3 times of administrative boundary adjustment of Hanoi city in the years: 1978, 1991, 2008.

Right in the center of space 3 is the sand table. Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, vision to 2065 (approved by the Prime Minister in 2024). In the center of space 3 is a large screen system with modern technology to show documentary films about the typical socio-economic achievements of the Capital in 80 years of construction and development, along with documentary films on the Capital planning period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050, ... providing viewers with an overview and main contents of the Plan.

In addition, space 3 also uses hologram technology for projection. simulation of: Globally connected capital; Digital capital; 5 development spaces; 5 economic corridors and belts; 5 dynamic axes; 5 socio-economic regions; 5 urban regions... with a system of charts and maps Orienting the development of industries and fields, fully demonstrating the orientation of the development spaces of the Capital in the new period with green - clean - beautiful - smart - modern urban areas, a city worth coming to live, study and contribute, a globally connected city.
