Agribank has recognized the importance of green credit early on and has proactively accompanied national strategies in this field. Evidence is that Agribank has taken the lead through loan programs to encourage the development of high-tech agriculture and clean agriculture for businesses, cooperatives, cooperative unions, and farm owners participating in the safe, large-scale agricultural production chain.
Most recently, Agribank is promoting a green credit lending program exclusively for individual customers, with a scale of up to 10,000 billion VND. Customers can borrow capital with preferential interest rates from only 3.5%/year to implement plans, projects of production, business of products and services in the green sector such as: organic agriculture , clean energy, environmentally friendly products...
As one of the customers borrowing capital at Agribank Dak Lak Branch to develop a model of growing vegetables in greenhouses, Mr. Pham Son (Ea Na commune) said that thanks to timely capital sources and preferential interest rates (0.5 - 1.5% lower per year than the normal interest rate), it has helped him reduce costs and improve investment efficiency. Currently, with a greenhouse area of 1,000 m2 , Mr. Son is rotating crops to grow vegetables and fruits such as cucumbers, melons, squash, etc. in a biosafety direction, which is favored by the market and brings high economic efficiency. With initial successes, Mr. Son plans to continue borrowing capital at Agribank Dak Lak Branch to expand the model and aim to cooperate in large-scale safe vegetable production with households in the area.
Similarly, capital from Agribank Dak Lak Branch has also helped Mr. Y Pot Nie not only start a successful business but also open up a completely new method of organic coffee cultivation for ethnic minorities in Ea Na commune, without using chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Up to now, Mr. Y Pot Nie has linked up with 50 households in the village to expand the raw material area to hundreds of hectares of Robusta coffee. Thanks to this "green - clean" farming method, coffee productivity has increased significantly compared to before, up to 4 tons/ha. In addition, thanks to compliance with organic production processes, the quality of coffee beans has also improved and Mr. Y Pot Nie's company has purchased them at a price 5,000 - 10,000 VND/kg higher than the market price. From there, a coffee growing household can increase its income by 25 - 50 million VND/year, depending on the area.

It can be seen that green credit coming closer to people not only brings economic efficiency but more importantly creates conditions for the community to participate in the process of transforming the growth model from breadth to depth, focusing on efficiency and sustainability.
According to Mr. Le Van Thinh, Director of Agribank Dak Lak Branch, as a commercial bank with a large network and playing a key role in investing in the "agricultural and rural" sector in the locality, Agribank has been playing an important role in spreading green capital in socio-economic life. Agribank identifies green credit as one of the key contents in the long-term development roadmap, associated with digital transformation, building a modern bank and international integration. Agribank pays special attention to perfecting internal mechanisms and policies to promote green credit growth and manage environmental and social risks in credit granting activities. In the credit process, Agribank's credit handbook always links project appraisal and loan plans with environmental protection issues, requiring projects to have environmental impact assessment reports approved by competent authorities according to the provisions of law, resolutely excluding credit granting for projects that are likely to have a large and serious impact on the environment and society.
