Responding to the complaints of households, the Chairman of the People's Committee of U Minh district and the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province have announced the handling of complaints of 34 households affected by the Project to upgrade and expand the U Minh - Khanh Hoi road.

At the meeting, National Assembly Deputy Le Manh Hung discussed that the policy of implementing the road upgrading and expansion project is to serve the development of the people and the locality. Up to now, the project has been very well supported by the people, so National Assembly Deputy Le Manh Hung hopes that the people will continue to maintain that spirit for the common good, the greater and longer-term benefit through openness, sharing and consensus. Prolonged complaints and lawsuits will negatively affect the general situation of the locality, including the lives of the people themselves.

To protect the legitimate and legal rights of the people, the National Assembly Delegation of Ca Mau province recommends that the competent authorities and functional agencies of Ca Mau province handle the complaints and petitions of the people in a reasonable and sympathetic manner. In particular, verifying and providing complete and transparent documents and records related to the land issue of the project so that the people can have their problems resolved, thereby agreeing with the general policy.
National Assembly Deputy Le Manh Hung also noted that 34 households with complaints and petitions need to continue to monitor and grasp information and results of handling the cases. At the same time, he requested the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ca Mau province to monitor, grasp, and supervise the progress and results of resolving and handling citizens' complaints and petitions and report to the National Assembly Delegation of Ca Mau province.
