In the first 6 months of 2025, the Party Committee, the Military Region 9 Command and Party committees and commanders at all levels have thoroughly grasped the instructions of superiors, led and directed the successful completion of military , national defense and Party building tasks.

Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 9 chaired the conference.

Units of Military Region 9 strictly maintains combat readiness, avoiding passivity and surprise, contributing to maintaining security, politics , order and social safety in the area. The joint activities to build new rural areas, the Army-Civilian Tet and the Army-Civilian Tet among the Khmer ethnic group were effectively implemented, with a budget of more than 774 billion VND; participating in the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" contest at the entire Southern region in 2025 won an excellent award. Policy work for the Army and the Army's rear was well implemented; the Military Region's martyrs' remains collection teams found 214 remains of martyrs who died in Cambodia and in the country.

At the same time, the units also strictly implemented the Ministry of National Defense's decisions on organization and staffing; dissolved district-level military agencies; merged provincial and commune-level military agencies; organized the handover of military administration work and Party work, and political work closely and in accordance with regulations.

Production increase and revenue-generating activities reached 51.9% of the annual plan (an increase of 18.6% compared to 2024). Management, health care for soldiers, and disease prevention achieved good results, with the average healthy soldier rate reaching 99.09%.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai requested that Party committees and organizations at all levels in the Military Region 9 need to proactively grasp, research, evaluate, and accurately forecast the situation on border lines, islands, and key areas, effectively handle situations, avoid being passive or surprised; and strictly maintain combat readiness.

Forces participating in the parade rehearsal and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Military Region 9 must successfully complete their tasks. Military agencies at all levels must advise local Party committees and authorities to lead and direct the construction and operation of defense zones to achieve practical results, especially after the merger, dissolution, establishment and organization of two-level local government.
