Sharing on social networking site X, Netblocks announced: “Real-time network data shows that Internet connectivity is being restored in the Gaza Strip.”
Meanwhile, according to an employee of the French news agency AFP in the city, it is now possible to use the Internet and contact people in southern Gaza by phone from about after 4:00 a.m. local time (2:00 a.m. GMT).
In another development on the same day, the Israeli military (IDF) advised civilians in the Gaza Strip to move south of the besieged territory - where humanitarian efforts "will be expanded".
“Civilians in northern Gaza and Gaza City should temporarily move south of Wadi Gaza to safer areas where they can receive water, food and medicine. Tomorrow, humanitarian efforts to Gaza – led by Egypt and the United States – will be expanded,” said IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari.
According to a video posted on social media X earlier in the day, another IDF spokesperson confirmed that humanitarian efforts would be expanded on October 29.
