The urgent project to prevent coastal erosion in Xuan Hoi commune (Nghi Xuan - Ha Tinh ) is being focused on by the contractor, bringing joy to the local people.
Mr. Phan Van Bao, in Tan Ninh Chau village, Xuan Hoi commune, was happy when the coastal erosion prevention project was constructed.
After many years of living in a state of insecurity and anxiety due to severe coastal erosion, the day the coastal erosion prevention project through Xuan Hoi commune was implemented, the people of Tan Ninh Chau village were extremely happy. The project is 1.4 km long with a total construction cost of nearly 15 billion VND from the district budget, and has been in operation since September 14.
Mr. Phan Van Bao, Tan Ninh Chau village said: “Previously, this area was eroded by sea waves dozens of meters inland, wiping out many areas of protective forests, threatening the sea dyke, garden land, and residential land of households. The construction of this project is very practical to help people live in peace and develop the economy .”
Local authorities always create favorable conditions for construction units to ensure progress and quality.
Mr. Bao's joy is also the joy of hundreds of households living along the Xuan Hoi beach. In addition to ensuring the safety of the dike, solving the problem of erosion; reducing and breaking sea waves, especially when there are storms combined with high tides and inland floods directly impacting the coast, the project also creates and maintains sandbanks in the dike corridor, protecting the Hoi Thong dike and residential areas and infrastructure.
Mr. Trinh Quang Luat - Chairman of Xuan Hoi Commune People's Committee said: "Since the project started, the local government has actively coordinated with relevant units, creating the most favorable conditions for the contractor to ensure the project's progress and quality."
Workers of Construction Joint Stock Company No. 3 focus on pouring concrete wave-breaking structures.
At this time, the weather is quite favorable, the construction unit, Ha Tinh Construction Joint Stock Company No. 3, is focusing on human resources and machinery to cast 7,700 wave-breaking concrete structures and mobilizing motorbikes to build roads to transport materials to the coast to serve the construction of 9 underground wave-reducing dike sections.
“It is the rainy season, the weather is erratic, and the construction work depends a lot on the tide, so we have encountered many difficulties. However, the unit has also developed a specific plan, working day and night when conditions are favorable with the criteria that the work must ensure quality” - Mr. Nguyen Danh Tuan - construction manager shared.
According to Mr. Tran Nguyen Ngoc - Director of Nghi Xuan District Construction Investment Project Management Board, this is an urgent project, of extremely important significance, requiring high technical skills. Therefore, the Management Board has closely followed each progress milestone, directed technical staff to regularly inspect and closely supervise; urged the contractor to focus on mobilizing all resources and construction materials, striving to complete the project and put it into use by the end of 2023.
