In the midst of the June days, Hanoi is bustling with daily life. At the meeting point C4/142 Giang Vo, 25 young people gathered to depart on a special journey: Charity trip - Travel for the community organized by Volunteer For Education (VEO). They brought with them youthful enthusiasm and the desire to contribute their small efforts to help children in the mountainous area of Ta Van, which still has many difficulties.

After a journey of nearly 7 hours, the group arrived at Giang Ta Chai Dao village, Ta Van commune. Leaving behind the bustling urban life, the volunteer footsteps began to blend in with the simple life of the people here. A new day began with a light mist covering the mountainside and the friendly smiles of the people.

Phan Thi Thanh Trang, an English teacher in Hung Yen - a tourist in the group, experienced teaching at Giang Ta Chai Dao school for the first time, emotionally shared: "This is an opportunity for me to directly teach, connect, and give not only material things but also knowledge and emotions. The children are very lovely, many of them are already sitting in the classroom, eagerly waiting to learn new things. The classroom is simple but full of warmth and sincerity".

Not only stopping at supporting education or taking care of meals, in the afternoon, visitors also join the locals in experiencing herbal incense making - one of the traditional crafts of the Giay people in Ta Van. From rustic ingredients of the mountains and forests, such as leaves, grass roots, cinnamon bark, herbal powder... each incense bud is meticulously shaped by the skillful hands of the locals and young people.

As dusk fell, the group had the opportunity to visit Muong Hoa stream, participate in cultural exchange in the flickering firelight, with lively dances and singing.

On the last day of the tour, the volunteer group had the opportunity to conquer Ham Rong peak - where the sky and clouds blend with the rocky mountains to create a majestic picture of the Northwest mountains and forests. On each step, each young person quietly recorded in their memory the simple yet familiar image of Sa Pa, where the warm humanity spreads through each look and smile.

In the afternoon, the group stopped at Cat Cat - a village with traditional wooden roofs nestled on the mountainside, green terraced fields, and the sound of weaving echoing between the hills. It was not only a journey through a beautiful land, but also an opportunity to listen, feel and appreciate the cultural values and labor of the Mong people in the highlands of Sa Pa.

Ending the 3-day, 2-night trip in Sa Pa, the group returned to Hanoi, but the experiences and emotions remained intact in each young tourist.

“Compassionate trip - travel for the community” has opened up a different perspective on tourism. It is not only about discovery but also about sharing, connecting and bringing real value to the community. The journey has ended but that spirit will continue to spread, reminding everyone of the power of compassion and responsibility towards lands and people with many difficulties.
