Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, An Giang is standing on the threshold of new development. “The merger of provinces, expanding the development space, forming a large province with diverse terrain of mountains - plains - borders - islands. This is an extremely great strategic advantage, but also poses new requirements, great challenges for the construction industry. Requiring the construction industry to be one of the pioneering forces to realize the vision: An Giang becomes a dynamic development center of the Mekong Delta, aiming at the goal of a national marine economic center - an important growth pole and a model of sustainable development" - Comrade Ngo Cong Thuc analyzed.

To achieve that goal, comrade Ngo Cong Thuc suggested: “With the highest political determination, the construction industry must proactively advise and urgently implement projects to serve the APEC Summit. This is a particularly urgent task, not only contributing to promoting the image of the province and the country, but also creating a driving force for breakthrough development for An Giang. The projects must ensure the best construction quality and the highest efficiency. At the same time, they must be completed on schedule, even ahead of schedule (if possible), to meet the requirements of this international event.”

Regarding investment in development and management of infrastructure, it is necessary to synchronously advise on solutions for developing technical infrastructure, traffic, urban infrastructure in coastal and border areas. Effectively coordinate in planning, managing urban development and functional areas associated with key national projects, such as Rach Gia and Phu Quoc airports; ensure sustainable, synchronous and modern development. Continue to promote the construction of synchronous infrastructure, concretize the plans approved by the Prime Minister; gradually complete important traffic routes. Coordinate with central ministries and branches to invest in synchronous development of the national traffic network through the area. Improve the quality of management and maintenance of traffic infrastructure, ensure smooth and safe traffic according to standards.

At the same time, advise on unifying construction and urban planning after the merger; ensure the organization of reasonable and sustainable development space. In particular, research on approaching the planning development orientation according to the national master plan and the Mekong Delta regional planning approved by the Prime Minister.
