World gold price today goes down
As of 6:00 a.m. on July 9, the world gold price today fell to $3,302/ounce, down $38 from the highest level last night ($3,340/ounce). The August gold price also dropped sharply by $34.5, closing at $3,308/ounce.
The decline came amid a market that saw long-term liquidation by traders.
Investor risk also eased after US President Donald Trump imposed additional tariffs on Japan and South Korea. Mr. Trump also sent letters to more than a dozen countries, announcing that he would impose tariffs of 25% to 40%, with the deadline for the tariffs being postponed until August 1, giving more time for negotiations.
This move has somewhat eased investors' concerns, contributing to the profit-taking trend and pushing down the world gold price today.
Previously, in Vietnam, by the end of July 8, the price of SJC gold was listed at 121 million VND/tael for sale, while the price of gold rings was at 116.9 million VND/tael.
Analysts say gold prices may continue to be under pressure in the short term due to profit-taking. However, with ongoing geopolitical and trade uncertainties, gold is still likely to recover if major fluctuations occur in the global market.
Investors are advised to closely monitor developments related to US trade policy and important economic indicators such as inflation, interest rates, and the strength of the USD to make appropriate trading decisions.
