On July 9 and 10, a working delegation of the Veterans Association of Lam Dong province led by Mr. Vu Cong Tien - Chairman of the Association visited and learned about the activities of the Veterans Association of communes in the former Dak Nong area.

At the working session with the Association of War Veterans of Dak Nong province (old), the delegation discussed and acknowledged the results in organizing and maintaining the Association's activities at the grassroots level.

In particular, the delegation visited and worked directly with the Association of War Veterans in Quang Truc commune. This is a particularly difficult border commune of Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong province (old), bordering Cambodia.

Here, comrade Vu Cong Tien visited and encouraged the cadres and members of the Commune War Veterans Association, recognizing the spirit of solidarity, the will to overcome difficulties and the exemplary role of the members in economic development, maintaining security and order, and building new rural areas.

The Association of War Veterans in Quang Truc commune is assessed to operate in a disciplined and effective manner; many members boldly borrow capital from banks to develop the economy, preventing bad debt from occurring.

Although the commune has not yet made an official decision on the Chairman of the Veterans Association, the collective of cadres and members still maintain a good living regime, promote a sense of responsibility, and maintain a core role in local movements. Some outstanding members have also risen to become good economic performers, actively contributing to the fight against hunger and poverty reduction.

Praising the achievements, the Chairman of the Provincial War Veterans Association suggested that in the coming time, the War Veterans Associations of communes should continue to improve the quality of branch and sub-association activities; strengthen solidarity, support each other in production, life and economic development; at the same time preserve and promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period.

On this occasion, the Association of War Veterans of Lam Dong province presented 10 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to members in difficult circumstances in Quang Truc commune, contributing to encouraging and motivating them to improve their lives.
