“BOTTOM NECK” WILL BE REMOVED

The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Project is nearly 74 km long, an important piece to complete the entire Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway. This expressway will form a smooth, modern backbone traffic axis, connecting the key economic region in the South with the wards and communes of Lam Dong.

When completed, the project will fundamentally resolve the problem of traffic congestion and congestion on the existing National Highway 20, which is considered a “bottleneck”. The expressway will not only shorten travel time but also activate and maximize the efficiency of the sections that have been and are being invested in, such as Dau Giay - Tan Phu, Tan Phu - Bao Loc. The value of the project lies not only in the 74 km of road, but also in the fact that it unlocks the potential for the entire strategic economic corridor of hundreds of kilometers, creating new growth momentum for the entire region.

This expressway will be a powerful lever, creating new momentum for key economic sectors of Lam Dong and neighboring provinces. This is also an opportunity to re-plan production areas, form satellite urban areas, modern logistics centers associated with Lien Khuong International Airport. The project is a premise for tourism to take off, attracting high-quality visitors; for high-tech agricultural products of Da Lat, Don Duong, Lam Ha, Duc Trong and Di Linh to connect directly to major domestic and international markets.

MAKING A DREAM REAL FOR MORE THAN A DECADE

"More than a traffic project, this project is a symbol of perseverance, efforts to overcome difficulties and strong aspirations of the Party Committee, government and people of Lam Dong province. After years of pursuit and overcoming millions of challenges, the dream of a modern highway has officially become a reality," said Mr. Nguyen Duy Lang, a retired official of Lam Dong Transport Department.

Recalling that before the Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term, the provincial leaders persistently proposed to former General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the central ministries and branches about this key project. Despite receiving many directions and attention, due to many objective factors, the implementation process faced millions of difficulties, the project has been extended since then, causing many concerns for the people. The persistence of generations of provincial leaders and related departments and branches in pursuing the project implementation has rekindled confidence. With high determination and strong support from the Government, the expressway has finally begun construction.

Comrade Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province, shared: "The groundbreaking of the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway is to realize the dreams, expectations and concerns of many generations of leaders, authorities at all levels and people of the province".
