Z121 – the pride of Vietnam
In its first participation in DIFF, rookie Z121 Vina Pyrotech - a unit under the Ministry of National Defense - was surprised and made a strong impression with a performance called "Aspiration to Rise" in the second competition night.

The fireworks effects are applied, with techniques of color transitions and fireworks synchronized with the music, bringing a sense of continuity, order, and not being able to look away. In particular, the team showed meticulousness in each stage of the composition, from the quiet opening, the brilliant climax to the concise ending, leaving in the hearts of the viewers not only the beauty of the fireworks but also national pride.

The climax of the competition came when the arrangement of “As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day” resounded in the bright space, pushing the audience's emotions to the peak. The sky of Da Nang was brilliant with red and yellow – the image of the national flag was vividly depicted by fireworks, interwoven with purple lotus flowers blooming in the air.

The performance not only reached the pinnacle of world fireworks technology and techniques but also awakened the national spirit - what made Z121 Vina Pyrotech different in its first appearance at DIFF. The performance with many emotional levels and climaxes created by the art of light, sound and national pride brought a powerful debut for the rookie Z121 Vina Pyrotec. This is a worthy team to be expected in the upcoming final match.

China Team – the power of fireworks powerhouse
The representative from China – Jiangxi Yanfeng team – continued to prove its position as an Asian fireworks powerhouse with the performance of “Journey to the West” in the third competition night. Choosing a theme closely related to Eastern cultural heritage but handling it in an innovative way, the team took the audience on a magical journey of light – where mythology and technology go hand in hand.

The special feature of the competition is the use of fireworks researched and produced by the team themselves, allowing them to have complete control over the effects - from layered color transitions, animated fireworks, to flying effects and three-dimensional space spreading. The entire performance is like a wordless "movie chapter", told through light, rhythm and emotion, with almost absolute precision between the music and each wave of fireworks.

With the strength of a country with the oldest fireworks industry in the world, the Chinese team is a formidable opponent and a bright name for this year's championship. However, Artist Luong Xuan Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, a member of the jury, said: "The final night is still an unknown. Both teams had excellent performances in the qualifying round and they need to prepare and innovate to create a different impression on the night of July 12. But the audience can fully expect an explosive final night. The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is increasingly becoming an attractive destination for many teams from many countries."
From rich national identity to top-notch techniques, the two teams from Vietnam and China have created eye-catching moments in the qualifying round.
