To make traveling to the Provincial Administrative Center more convenient

After Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong merged, upgrading transport infrastructure became one of the key factors to increase connectivity. The route from Phan Thiet ward and Bac Gia Nghia ward to Lam Dong Provincial Administrative Center (Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat) is currently facing many difficulties due to the dangerous roads. People and tourists want to speed up the upgrading of National Highway (QL) 28B, invest in Dak R'Lap - Da Huoai and QL28 routes, and enhance traffic safety.

From Phan Thiet to Da Lat, the main routes are Gia Bac Pass - National Highway 20 and National Highway 28B - National Highway 20, National Highway 55 - National Highway 20. The scenery is beautiful, but the road is small and winding. National Highway 28B connects to National Highway 20, the shortest, but it is under repair, it is dusty in the sun, and very muddy and slippery in the rain, making it quite difficult to move. "This road is great for sightseeing, but there are too many potholes," said Ms. Bich Tram, a tourist from Da Lat to Phan Thiet.

Highway 28B is expected to be completed in October 2025. According to the reporter's observations, many sections of this route are currently deserted, with rocks and soil lying around. Some sections are being paved with a second layer of asphalt, but it is now the rainy season so progress continues to be slow. Some sharp bends are currently under construction to straighten the route, but progress is also very slow. The slow construction greatly affects traffic on this route, especially during the rainy season.

From Gia Nghia to Da Lat, there are 2 routes through Dak R'Lap - Da Huoai connecting to Highway 20, which are also popular and have beautiful scenery. The route through the northern districts of Dak Nong to Highway 28 to Highway 20 to Da Lat is currently the best and shortest route, but many mountain passes are very winding, the road is small and narrow, and it is quite dangerous to drive at night.

People recommend speeding up the upgrading and renovation of Highway 28B and investing in upgrading the route from Dak R'Lap - Da Huoai commune and Highway 28. In the immediate future, it is necessary to strengthen safety measures, creating conditions for all types of vehicles and people to move more safely such as: Investing in street lighting systems, installing more convex mirrors, arranging rescue more traffic checkpoints to both serve patrol work, ensuring traffic safety, and carry out timely work, especially important in this rainy season. "I hope the State will pay more attention to investing, because with the current road conditions, traveling between regions is still very difficult," said Mr. Ngo Minh Luan, a resident of Kien Duc commune.

To effectively connect traffic between regions, it is necessary for the government and relevant agencies to pay attention to removing obstacles and directing the progress of National Highway 28B to reach the finish line on schedule. In addition, it is necessary to accelerate the investment progress and upgrade the infrastructure of some important existing routes, while paying attention to and creating conditions for the development of high-quality transportation services. Only then can people and tourists travel conveniently and safely to the Lam Dong Provincial Administrative Center.

Currently, there are Phuong Trang, Xuan Pha, An Phu Travel, Thanh Lich and some other bus companies operating the Phan Thiet - Da Lat route. The Gia Nghia - Da Lat bus station route currently has Xuan Long, Minh Tam and some other bus companies with ticket prices of 150,000 - 350,000 VND depending on the seat type and vehicle quality. Travel time on these routes is about 4 hours.
