The following terms also increased sharply, with the May 2026 term at 359.40 cents/lb and the July 2026 term at 348.60 cents/lb.
In the world market, coffee prices have fluctuated strongly recently with rapid changes in both supply and demand factors and trade policies. In July, coffee prices fell due to the rapid progress of the harvest in Brazil and forecasts of abundant supply. However, after US President Donald Trump announced tariffs on Brazilian coffee, the market immediately reversed and prices increased sharply.
For the second consecutive week, global coffee prices maintained an upward trend: Arabica reached a three-month high, while Robusta also reached a nearly three-month peak. In addition to policy factors, concerns about adverse weather in Brazil, the world's largest coffee exporter, prompted investors to increase purchases of futures contracts, contributing to the increase.
With the US dollar falling sharply and the possibility of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) cutting interest rates in September, coffee prices on world exchanges are forecast to continue their upward trend tomorrow. The combination of macro factors and supply concerns from Brazil will continue to encourage investors to buy, pushing prices to higher levels.
Domestic coffee prices today August 24, 2025
On the morning of August 24, coffee prices in the Central Highlands continued to increase by 600 - 900 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Of which, coffee price in Gia Lai recorded an increase of 900 VND/kg, up to 123,800 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak , the transaction price increased by 800 VND/kg, currently being traded at 124,000 VND/kg.
Next, coffee price in Lam Dong stood at 123,500 VND/kg, an increase of 800 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices are forecast to continue to maintain an upward trend. The increase may not be as sudden as today but will still increase, possibly reaching 125,000 VND/kg in some localities.
According to experts, the new US tax policy could change the flow of global trade. If imports from Brazil are tightened, the supply pressure will shift to other countries, including Vietnam - the world's largest exporter of Robusta coffee. This opens up opportunities for domestic coffee prices to increase further.
Meanwhile, the U.S. coffee industry is cautiously monitoring developments. Cecafe President Marcio Ferreira said U.S. companies have enough inventory to last 30–60 days, giving them room to wait before making a decision. Extreme weather in Brazil has further reinforced the upward trend in global coffee prices.
Coffee prices continued to rise sharply. The sharp decline in the US dollar pushed coffee prices up on both exchanges. Speculation continued to push coffee prices higher in the context of the Fed possibly cutting interest rates next month. Early morning on August 23, in the US market, the US Dollar Index (DXY) measuring the greenback's fluctuations was 6 dong.
