Real Madrid is so good
Under the reign of coach Alonso, Real Madrid is increasingly perfect. After a draw against Al Hilal in the opening match, "The White Vultures" won 3 consecutive easy victories against Pachuca, Salzburg and Juventus to advance straight to the quarter-finals. In particular, with the return of the number 1 star on the attack line Mbappe, Real Madrid is predicted to have an easy victory against Dortmund to be present in the semi-finals.
However, before the match against Dortmund, coach Alonso surprised everyone by leaving Mbappe on the bench. Instead, the Spanish coach used young striker Gonzalo García. Since the beginning of the tournament, Gonzalo García has been considered a "golden boy" of Real Madrid, having scored 3 goals in 4 matches. In addition, players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Guler, after outstanding matches, continued to be given opportunities.

Responding to coach Alonso's trust, Gonzalo García played an excellent first half. The striker wearing the number 30 shirt moved widely, having 15 touches of the ball - the most in Real Madrid's attack. Gonzalo García was also rated 7.2 points by Sofascore , the third highest in the "White Vulture" squad, after only two players, Trent Alexander-Arnold (7.3 points) and Guler (7.5 points). In the 10th minute, Gonzalo García showed his ability to run quickly and finish accurately, opening the score for Real Madrid.
Gonzalo García's excellent performance and good wall formation gave Real Madrid's other midfielders more space to advance. In the 20th minute, the score was raised to 2-0 for Real Madrid when left-back Fran García suddenly entered the penalty area and quickly tapped the ball in from Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross.
At the end of the match, Real Madrid played leisurely but still had many dangerous attacks. If Vinicius or Guler had been more careful in their finishing, the gap that the Spanish representative created could have been even bigger.

In the second half, Real Madrid slowed down the pace of the match, giving the game to Dortmund. However, the German representative played disjointedly, without many notable attacks. In about 40 minutes of the second half, Dortmund could only create 4 shots but all of them were inaccurate.
However, the surprise happened in the second half's extra time when Dortmund rose strongly, scoring two consecutive goals by Maximilian Beier (minute 90+2) and Serhou Guirassy (minute 90+8). However, in between Dortmund's goals, Mbappe also scored, helping Real Madrid win 3-2. More notably, Mbappe was also one of the players that coach Alonso had sent onto the field a few minutes earlier.
Mbappe was given the chance and immediately scored.
