Ca Mau: Landslides submerge many houses

On June 28, information from the People's Committee of Dam Doi district (Ca Mau province) said that serious landslides had just occurred in the area at night, causing damage to many houses.

Specifically, the landslide occurred at around 10 p.m. on June 27, more than 30 meters of rural traffic road along Dam Doi River completely collapsed, destroying 9 houses of local people, with an estimated total damage of more than 2 billion VND. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any human casualties.

Immediately after receiving information about the landslide, Tan Tien Border Guard Station sent many officers and soldiers to assist people in dismantling houses at high risk of being affected and moving the property of households affected by the landslide to a safe place.

Also on the night of June 27, in Thanh Tung commune (Dam Doi district), a landslide occurred, completely damaging the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities and functional agencies promptly arrived at the scene to assist people in evacuating their assets, overcoming the consequences, and at the same time visiting and encouraging affected households to soon stabilize their lives.
