On July 11, Colonel Khuat Ba Cao, Party Secretary, Deputy Commander of Army Corps 15 ( Ministry of National Defense ) said that implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, the Army Corps has completed supporting the construction and repair of 357 houses with a total cost of nearly 17 billion VND, in three localities: Gia Lai, Quang Ngai and Quang Tri.

According to Colonel Khuat Ba Cao, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a task that has both political significance and demonstrates the responsibility and affection of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" towards ethnic minorities in remote, isolated and border areas.
In fact, many households where the Corps is located still live in difficult conditions, with dilapidated, makeshift houses that do not ensure living conditions.
The implementation of the program not only helps people stabilize their residence, feel secure in working and producing, and escape poverty, but also contributes to strengthening the people's hearts and minds, maintaining national defense and security in border areas.

During the implementation process, the Corps mobilized more than 15,500 working days, thousands of officers, soldiers, workers and vehicles to participate.
Despite many difficulties with weather, materials, and labor, Corps 15 still completed the entire plan before July 15, ensuring the correct schedule and quality.

“These new houses are practical results, contributing significantly to social security work, strengthening national solidarity and building a solid defense area at the border,” Colonel Khuat Ba Cao emphasized.
