According to ABC Sevilla and SportWitness , the La Liga side want to re-sign Antony on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the 2025/26 season, but ask Man United to support part of the 2000-born player's salary during the loan period.
Antony moved to Betis in January 2025 after falling out of favour at Old Trafford. The 25-year-old winger enjoyed a resurgence in Spain, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 26 games in all competitions. That form helped Betis finish in the top six of La Liga and reach the UEFA Conference League final, although they eventually lost to Chelsea.

Therefore, Betis really want to keep Antony for a long time. However, the biggest obstacle at present is the salary of nearly 200,000 pounds per week, a financial burden that Betis cannot shoulder in full.
In the previous loan deal, the Spanish club paid around 84% of his wages and they want United to continue to support the rest if the new deal goes ahead.
The idea of shared ownership has also been floated as a potential option, with United retaining a portion of Antony's registration rights as a future resale clause. This would allow the Red Devils to profit if Antony were to be sold later, while also helping Betis reduce the upfront cost of the deal.
Negotiations remain deadlocked, with many details yet to be agreed, particularly on the buyout clause and the salary each side will have to pay. However, both teams appear to be in good faith.
Antony is also said to be keen to continue at Betis, where he feels respected and has more regular playing time than he did in Manchester.
With the summer transfer market heating up, a breakthrough in negotiations could see the deal quickly “green-lit”. Real Betis are confident they will find a suitable solution and retain the star who has transformed them in the final stages of last season.
