Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital: Comprehensive development, aiming for specialized quality

Quang Tri General Hospital was established on August 5, 1989 under Decision No. 113/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province, initially a Grade II hospital with 300 beds. On February 1, 2016, the hospital was upgraded to Grade I under Decision No. 1401/QD-UBND, becoming the leading medical facility in the province.

The hospital currently has 1,178 beds, 803 staff, civil servants, employees and 35 departments. On average, the hospital receives 400-500 medical examinations and 900-1,200 inpatients per day. The hospital fully performs 7 functions and tasks including: medical examination and treatment, medical staff training, scientific research, line management, disease prevention, international cooperation and medical economic management.

With a total area of ​​21 hectares, the hospital's facilities are modern and synchronous, including 9 buildings with a usable area of ​​over 48,000 m², 8 operating rooms, 3 standard testing labs, along with a high-tech diagnostic system, new generation testing and imaging machines such as DSA, 160-slice CT-Scanner, magnetic resonance, 4D ultrasound, artificial kidney dialysis and continuous ultrafiltration.

The hospital's strengths lie in many specialized departments such as: Trauma and burn surgery, Gastroenterology, Urology, Oncology, Cardiology, Endoscopy, Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology. In particular, the hospital has mastered advanced techniques such as spinal surgery, laser lithotripsy, multi-therapy liver cancer treatment, vascular intervention, bronchial and digestive endoscopy, premature newborn care, congenital heart screening and treatment of ophthalmic, dental, maxillofacial, ear, nose and throat diseases.

High-quality human resources with 4 PhDs, 13 level II specialists, 40 masters and dozens of level I doctors and pharmacists. The hospital team always upholds medical ethics, professional skills and attitude towards serving patients.
