The coffee market is still subject to many uncertainties such as global inventories, weather and exchange rate fluctuations. However, high prices and recovering demand are expected to provide a new impetus to the market in July.

Experts say that if there are no major fluctuations in Brazilian supply or the USD/VND exchange rate, domestic coffee prices may continue to increase slightly in the short term. Therefore, farmers and businesses need to closely monitor the market to choose the right time to sell, optimizing profits in a market with many unknowns.

* Pepper prices today are stable compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 139,000 - 144,000 VND/kg.

Of which, pepper price in Dak Lak province recorded the highest price of 144,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

In Gia Lai province, the current pepper price is 139,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday.

In Dak Nong, pepper prices remained stable at 140,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau recorded a price of 140,000 VND/kg, also stable compared to yesterday.

Meanwhile, in the export market, Vietnam's black pepper export price continued to fluctuate between 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton for 500 g/l and 550 g/l black pepper; the export price of white pepper reached 8,950 USD/ton.

The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) forecasts that domestic pepper prices will remain low in the short term as many farmers and investors are still holding onto their goods, waiting for prices to increase again in the third and fourth quarters.

This hoarding temporarily reduces supply in the market, because of expectations that prices will recover strongly in the near future.

In the international market, the strengthening of the US dollar and military tensions in many regions have made investors more cautious about pepper. In addition, increased transportation costs also put pressure on prices in the short term.
