Central Internal Affairs Committee reviews the first 6 months of the Party Internal Affairs sector

On the morning of July 10, the Central Committee for Internal Affairs held a national online conference to review the work of the Party's Internal Affairs sector in the first 6 months of the year and to disseminate and implement the General Secretary's conclusions on internal affairs; preventing and combating corruption, negativity and judicial reform. The conference was connected to connecting points in provinces and cities across the country.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Kim Dung chaired the conference at Tuyen Quang bridge.

Comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and negativity, and Deputy Heads of the Central Internal Affairs Commission chaired the conference.

Attending the conference at Tuyen Quang bridge were comrades: Le Thi Kim Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Phung Tien Quan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; leaders of agencies and units under the provincial internal affairs sector.

At the conference, delegates were informed and implemented the General Secretary 's conclusions on internal affairs; preventing and combating corruption, negativity and judicial reform.

The conclusion sets out the tasks for implementing three major orientations, namely: internal affairs must aim at maintaining stability for national development; must effectively serve the requirements of socio-economic development of the country at present and in the coming period; must closely follow and serve the goal of building a clean and strong Party, improving the Party's ruling effectiveness and leadership capacity.

The conclusion also outlined key tasks from now until the 14th National Party Congress and tasks for building the Party's Internal Affairs sector in the coming time.

Delegates also listened to and commented on the results of the Party Internal Affairs sector's work in the first 6 months of the year. The report showed that the sector has proactively advised and guided Party committees and organizations at all levels to effectively lead and direct internal affairs, prevent and combat corruption, negativity and judicial reform.

The authorities have advised to put 11 corruption and waste cases under the Central Steering Committee's supervision and direction. The provincial and municipal Party Committees' Internal Affairs Committees have advised to put 53 cases under supervision and direction; directed to thoroughly handle 143 serious and complicated cases that have attracted public attention; and disciplined 43 leaders due to corruption and waste.

The work of receiving and handling complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections was carried out seriously. The internal affairs committees of the provincial and municipal Party Committees advised and assisted the Secretary of the provincial and municipal Party Committees in organizing 346 meetings and dialogues with 1,376 citizens; receiving and handling 28,764 complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections. In particular, they advised and directed the handling of 215 outstanding, complicated and prolonged cases, contributing to maintaining political and social stability and ensuring security and order in the area.

Concluding the conference, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac commended the comprehensive results of the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and negativity and the provincial Steering Committees in the first 6 months of the year.

Regarding the key tasks for the last 6 months of the year, he requested that the entire Party Internal Affairs sector continue to thoroughly grasp the General Secretary's Conclusion on internal affairs; preventing and combating corruption and negativity.

Internal affairs must make an important contribution to the goal of maintaining stability for national development; must effectively serve the requirements of the country's socio-economic development; contribute to building a clean and strong Party, resolutely not allowing morally degraded elements to infiltrate the political apparatus; anti-corruption work must be carried out resolutely right from the grassroots, right from the beginning; proactively and actively advise Party committees and Steering Committees at all levels in leading and directing the work of anti-corruption and negativity at the local and grassroots levels.

He also requested the Party Internal Affairs sector to continue to strengthen the work of inspection, supervision, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments, ensuring timeliness, strictness, synchronization, and effectiveness. Focus on thoroughly handling cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee, not letting them drag on, causing public outrage.

In addition, continue to consolidate, improve and enhance the quality of the activities of the Provincial Steering Committee, select comrades with courage, qualities, capacity, responsibility, enthusiasm and not afraid of conflicts to participate in the Steering Committee after the province's merger; ensure that the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity at the local level is truly substantial and effective.
