On July 10, Colonel Nguyen Hong Khiem (Deputy Commander of the Border Guard Command - Military Command of An Giang Province) chaired the handover conference of the position of Chief of Vinh Gia Border Guard Station.

Accordingly, the duties of station chief were transferred from Major Bui Quoc Toan (in charge of the station chief) to Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Duc Hieu (Deputy Head of Training Department, General Staff Department). Major Bui Quoc Toan continued his duties and responsibilities as Deputy Station Chief of Vinh Gia Border Guard Station.

Colonel Nguyen Hong Khiem acknowledged and highly appreciated the command and leadership of Major Bui Quoc Toan during his time as Station Chief. Under his leadership, Vinh Gia Border Guard Station has performed well in its tasks of managing, protecting sovereignty , border security, fighting and preventing crimes; building a strong and comprehensive unit; participating in local socio-economic development, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of people in the border area.

As the station chief, Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Duc Hieu needs to promote the tradition of solidarity and unity, together with the commanding committee to direct the unit to complete all tasks well; strengthen patrols, control, and strictly manage the area and border; proactively grasp the situation, promptly detect, prevent and handle incidents, avoid being passive or surprised; closely coordinate with functional forces and local authorities to build a strong all-people border defense posture; take care to build a strong, comprehensive unit "Exemplary, typical", meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
