Identifying science and technology as "leading the way", creating breakthroughs in productivity, quality and production efficiency, in recent times, the agricultural sector has implemented many solutions to exploit potentials and advantages, aiming towards large-scale, concentrated commodity production. In the province, many projects, programs and policies have been issued to support the development of high-tech agriculture. Scientific and technological advances have been promoted, such as: New varieties; greenhouses, membrane houses, cold houses; biological products for pest control; production processes according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP...

Many typical models such as vegetable, flower, mushroom production in greenhouses, greenhouses, cold houses, and closed-cage livestock farming have been formed, bringing high economic efficiency. Mr. Bui Quang Thanh's household in Trung Chinh commune has a farm of 18,000 m2. Last June, he sold tens of thousands of LV chickens, a breed with a high hatching rate and consistent products. Raising chickens in closed cages helps chickens grow well and control diseases. Livestock waste is put into the biogas treatment system to help protect the environment.
Yen Dung Clean Vegetable Cooperative, Canh Thuy Ward has a scale of more than 60 hectares, growing about 60 types of vegetables, tubers, and fruits according to VietGAP standards in greenhouses and net houses to supply large supermarket chains and clean food stores in many provinces and cities. The cooperative invests in a system of sun-blocking nets, ventilation fans, wind-blocking curtains, automatic irrigation and fertilization; applying the "5 no" production rule: No pesticides, no preservatives, no herbicides, no GMOs and no growth stimulants to help the cooperative's products be safe, improve quality and value. This is also an eco -tourism agricultural model that attracts many tourists to visit and experience.
In addition, the province has formed many large-scale, multi-value agricultural production areas associated with eco-tourism and high-income community tourism, typically: Producing Ban Ven tea in Xuan Luong commune; raising commercial Sumo ducks in closed cages in Bong Lai ward; producing lychee, oranges and grapefruits associated with experiential tourism in Phuong Son ward and Chu ward; raising tilapia combined with raising frogs in net cages in a circular direction in Phu Lang commune...
According to the representative of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in recent times, the province has issued many policies to promote agricultural development in the direction of applying high technology to production, contributing to improving the value and quality of products. By the end of 2024, the whole province has nearly 2,000 agricultural production establishments applying high technology, linking product consumption according to the value chain. It is estimated that the proportion of high-tech agricultural production value accounts for more than 30% of the whole industry, product value increases from 17 - 30% compared to traditional farming. 479 production areas of key and typical agricultural products have been digitized and concentrated commodity production areas have been formed with a scale of several tens of hectares to several tens of thousands of hectares with many types of crops such as: quality rice, processed vegetables, safe vegetables, fruit trees, flowers, aquatic products, etc.
Assessing the situation of agricultural production is being affected by climate change and extreme weather. The speed of urbanization, industrialization and labor migration continues to take place, consumer trends and tastes are increasing... requiring people, businesses and cooperatives to continuously innovate, improve production processes and enhance product quality. The provincial agricultural sector continues to promote restructuring towards ecology and sustainable development.
Promote linkages and cooperation towards the formation of value chains from production to processing, preservation, consumption, with traceability of products and export orientation. At the same time, focus on building and supporting models of applying technical advances in varieties and new intensive farming methods in cultivation and animal husbandry. Focus on attracting investment in developing circular, organic, green, clean, smart, ecological agricultural production associated with multi-value chains, regional linkages, and industry linkages to increase income per unit of cultivated land area, protect the environment and develop sustainably.
