On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on September 2, at Xiengvang village, Nongbok district, Khammouane province, the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos coordinated with the Lao National Circus and the Lao Public Security Art Troupe to organize an art performance exchange program with the theme "Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh Era."
Attending the event were Ms. To Thi Thanh Binh, Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos; representatives of departments, agencies and sectors of Khammouane province; along with many local people and the Vietnamese community living and working in Laos.
Speaking at the exchange, Ms. To Thi Thanh Binh emphasized that the program is a meaningful cultural and artistic activity, contributing practically to the celebration of the important holiday of the Vietnamese people, and at the same time is an opportunity to introduce and promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam to Lao friends.
She affirmed that exchange programs like this not only create a spiritual bridge between the people of the two countries, but also contribute to fostering and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
The art program was elaborately staged, with nearly 20 unique performances, combining music, dance and circus, bringing many emotions to the audience.
The content throughout praises President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Vietnamese people, who left behind a legacy of ideology, morality and lifestyle that forever guides generations; praises President Kaysone Phomvihane - the beloved leader of the Lao people, who laid the foundation for the special friendship between the two brotherly peoples.
Besides, many performances praising the love for homeland, country, and solidarity between the two nations were expressed with majestic melodies mixed with profound lyrical songs.
In particular, the circus and dance performances by Lao artists brought excitement, surprise and resounding applause from the audience. The harmonious combination of traditional and modern art, between Vietnamese and Lao culture, created the unique appeal of the program.
The atmosphere of the exchange was warm, exciting and full of affection. The people of Xiengvang village and the Vietnamese community in Khammouane enjoyed and sang together melodies praising the homeland and friendship, creating a vivid picture of Vietnam-Laos solidarity.
The program ended in joy and emotion of the audience. The image of the flags of the two countries fluttering on the stage, in the harmony of singing and music, left a deep impression of the loyal and steadfast love that the people of the two countries have for each other.
This is not only an activity to celebrate Vietnam's National Day, but also a vivid demonstration of the special bond between the Vietnamese and Lao peoples, which has been cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong and generations of leaders through the ages.
Before that, the delegation respectfully offered incense and commemorated President Ho Chi Minh at the Memorial Area, expressing deep gratitude to him./.
