In the first 6 months of 2025, the whole country welcomed nearly 10.7 million international visitors.

According to the report of the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam's tourism industry welcomed nearly 10.7 million international visitors (completing about 50% of the growth target for the whole year 2025).

This number of visitors increased by 20.7% over the same period last year and was 25.7% higher than the same period in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two largest tourist markets for Vietnam tourism are China with 2.7 million arrivals (accounting for 25.6%) and South Korea with 2.2 million arrivals (accounting for 20.7%). Other markets in the top 10 are: Taiwan, the US, Japan, Cambodia, India, Australia, Malaysia and Russia. In terms of each month, January and March are the two months with the largest number of international visitors (reaching more than 2 million arrivals per month); the lowest is June with about 1.46 million arrivals.

With this impressive result, according to the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), Vietnam is the country with the highest growth rate of international tourists in the Asia- Pacific region in the first quarter of 2025 (up 30% over the same period). Globally, in the first 3 months of 2025, Vietnam ranked 6th in terms of growth in international tourists and ranked 4th in terms of total tourism revenue growth (up 29% over the same period in 2024).

In Da Nang city alone (including the former Quang Nam province and the former Da Nang city), in the first half of 2025, the tourism industry served 3.74 million international visitors (an increase of 25% over the same period in 2024).
