According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Information Portal, the Art for Climate Festival will take place in Ha Long (Quang Ninh) from January 13 to January 19, 2025, with the participation of more than 80,000 people, including 200 European billionaires. The billionaires will come to Ha Long by super yacht.

The World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay was chosen to host the Arts for Climate Festival because of its unique and highly symbolic location. Ha Long Bay is also home to an ecosystem that is threatened by climate change and human pressure.

At the event announcement ceremony on September 16, French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet said the project is a combination of art and environmental responsibility to raise awareness of planet protection, in line with current challenges.

Ha Long Bay is a favorite destination for international tourists when coming to Vietnam with the experience of exploring the bay by cruise.

In the first 9 months of the year, Ha Long welcomed 9.2 million visitors, of which international visitors reached 2.13 million (2.3 times higher than the same period in 2023). Total tourism revenue is estimated at about 20,300 billion VND.

Currently, there are 4,000-6,000 visitors to Ha Long Bay every day, of which 90% are international visitors. After the impact of Typhoon Yagi, most tourism activities on the bay have returned to normal.

Summer is the peak tourist season in Ha Long. To attract winter tourists, Ha Long City proactively maximizes the efficiency of its tourism and transportation infrastructure, especially the flow of cruise passengers through Ha Long International Passenger Port.

The Ha Long Bay Management Board has begun to survey and identify beautiful islands and beaches that still retain their pristine beauty in order to create unique and distinct products to serve the increasing number of high-end, super-luxury, and billionaire tourists coming to Ha Long.
