The Standing Committee of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee has issued Official Dispatch No. 75-CV/TU on assigning agencies and units to establish friendship with ethnic minority villages. This is a policy to build a "people's heart position", arouse and gather patriotism, solidarity, consensus and high determination among ethnic minorities to join hands and unite with Party committees, authorities and organizations to build and protect security and order in Dak Lak province.
The twinning journey of agencies, units, organizations and enterprises in the province has a particularly important meaning on the journey to build rich and prosperous villages.
Dak Lak currently has 1,780 agencies, units, and enterprises performing twinning work with 556 ethnic minority villages; 741 villages and residential groups are twinned with 544 villages; 1,182 Front Working Committees, associations, and mass organizations of Kinh people are twinned with 835 Front Working Committees, mass organizations of ethnic minorities; 1,323 Kinh households are twinned with ethnic minority households.
Over the past 20 years, provincial and district agencies and units have organized 3,475 trips to twin villages and sent 31,944 cadres, civil servants, public employees and soldiers to twin villages to coordinate with forces to mobilize the masses; mobilize people to participate in patriotic emulation movements, well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, focus on production to develop the family economy , raise vigilance against the plots and tricks of hostile forces; abandon backward customs, preserve and promote national cultural identity.
The twinned units also organized visits and gave gifts on holidays and Tet; supported people with materials, techniques, plant varieties, livestock, essential necessities, and mobilized resources to build public works to serve people's lives. Thereby, joining hands to implement the National Target Program on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas. The total budget for activities in the twinned villages was over 261.8 billion VND.
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, commented: 20 years of implementing twinning work between agencies, units, enterprises and ethnic minority villages in the province have brought about practical results.
In implementing the twinning work, agencies and units have promoted their sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, and come up with many creative ways of working, suitable to the professional tasks and conditions of each agency and unit, closely following the practical needs and aspirations of the people in the twinning villages to exchange, mobilize and provide material and spiritual support for people to change their way of thinking and working to develop the family economy, and maintain security and order in ethnic minority areas.
In recognition of the achievements in twinning work, the Standing Committee of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 collectives, and the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 28 collectives with outstanding achievements in 20 years of implementing twinning work with ethnic minority villages, period 2004 - 2024.
