The ships are divided into small groups to paint the ship's sides, decks, clean and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure they are in the best condition, ready to set off on this important mission.
Like the crews of CSB 8004 and CSB 9004, these days, the crew of CSB 8002 of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command has also completed preparations and is ready to depart to participate in the sea parade mission.
Notably, of the three ships above, CSB 9004 and CSB 8002 were officially put into operation on the same day (July 9, 2015). At that time, both were the most modern ships of the Vietnam Coast Guard.
CSB 8002 is the second DN-2000 class multi-purpose ship to be delivered to the Coast Guard. The ship was launched in October 2014. This class of ship is designed to meet all international standards, with the functions and tasks of patrolling to protect sovereignty over seas and islands, enforcing the law in sea areas and continental shelves; and conducting search and rescue in Vietnamese and international waters when requested.
