Phu My Nam Commune was established on the basis of the arrangement of My Hiep and My Tai communes, including 29 villages, with a natural area of 85.01 km² and a population of 27,030 people. Immediately after coming into operation, the commune quickly completed its personnel structure and implemented tasks under the authority of the commune level.
After 10 days of operation, the commune basically ensured administrative activities, and at the same time implemented the socio -economic development plan for the last 6 months of the year as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee.

The set targets are: the total product value growth rate reaches 10.7%; the total budget revenue reaches 11,431 billion VND; the multidimensional poverty rate is reduced to 0.07%. In addition, the commune is urgently preparing for the 1st Party Congress of the commune, term 2025-2030, ensuring content, quality and progress according to the direction of the province.
However, in the early days of operation, the commune encountered many difficulties such as: information technology infrastructure was not guaranteed; facilities and equipment did not meet work requirements; there was no official housing for 20 cadres transferred from the province and district.
In addition, the commune is currently short of 7 civil servants. To ensure smooth operations, the commune recommends that the province pay attention to investing in technical infrastructure and supplementing the missing personnel.
Acknowledging the local efforts, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Rah Lan Chung highly appreciated the proactive spirit of the commune in the process of operating the political system.
He noted that in the coming time, the commune needs to continue to closely follow and fully implement the regulations of the Central and the province; strengthen internal solidarity to create sustainable strength, promote collective progress together.
Comrade Rah Lan Chung also requested the commune to urgently review and comprehensively evaluate the functions and tasks of each department, and promptly make adjustments to avoid errors in the process of performing tasks.
At the same time, it is necessary to continue to overcome shortcomings in the transition phase of the new model, especially removing obstacles related to stalled investment projects.
Regarding the commune's recommendations, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested relevant departments and branches to urgently study and propose specific solutions to remove difficulties and support the commune to operate more effectively in the coming time.

On this occasion, Comrade Rah Lan Chung also inspected the operation of Phu My Nam Commune Public Administration Service Center. After 9 days of operation, the Center received 33 applications (30 online applications, 3 direct applications), all of which were resolved on time and before the deadline, reaching a rate of 100%.
He suggested that the locality continue to improve service quality, aiming to build a professional and modern administration, taking the satisfaction of people and businesses as a measure of effectiveness.
