Hung Nguyen District Police ( Nghe An Province) said that this unit has filed an administrative case against the man who took donation money at Hoang Muoi Temple as reported by the press.

Accordingly, at around 11:00 a.m. on February 25, 2024, BVT (born in 1979, residing in Hung Thinh commune, Hung Nguyen district) and members of the team under the Management Board of Ong Hoang Muoi Temple (Hung Thinh commune) collected donations from people at the altars in the Temple to put in the donation box according to the assigned tasks.

During the process of collecting money at the Central Palace, BVT stole some money, put it in a cake box, then brought it back and hid it in the security room.

The act of stealing the BVT's donation money was later discovered by everyone. Upon receiving the information, Hung Nguyen District Police were present to verify and clarify the matter.

During the inspection, the police discovered that the amount of money in the cake box that BVT had stolen was 1,026,000 VND. Working with the police, Mr. BVT admitted all of his illegal acts.

After making a record, Hung Nguyen District Police issued a decision to administratively fine BVT for the theft of property in the amount of 2.5 million VND, and at the same time return to the Management Board of Ong Hoang Muoi Temple the entire amount of money that BVT stole.

Previously, the press reported that some officials on duty at Hoang Muoi Temple (Hung Thinh Commune, Hung Nguyen) were suspected of taking money from the temple's offerings. According to the video , a person working at the temple was responsible for taking money that visitors left on the altars in the temple and putting it in the donation safes. However, one person took the money from the altars and stuffed it into a pre-opened cookie box. This person then took it and hid it in his personal bed.

After the incident, Hung Nguyen district requested the authorities to investigate and clarify the matter and at the same time requested the district police to investigate.

On March 1, Hung Nguyen district reported the incident and said that the district had temporarily suspended work for 2 individuals related to this incident.
