Tam said that after the exam, she was quite confident with her work, but when checking the answers online, she realized that she had made a mistake in Math, so she unfortunately lost 0.5 points. As for her teachers and friends, this achievement was something that was expected, because from grade 6 to grade 12, Tam was always good at all subjects, and was an outstanding student, the best in the block. When she was a 9th grader at Au Co Secondary School (Nha Trang Ward), Tam was encouraged by many subject teachers to take the specialized subject exam, but she decided to take the entrance exam to Ly Tu Trong High School to study all subjects in a balanced way and was admitted with 45.5 points (on a 50-point scale). This year, in addition to being the valedictorian of the province's high school graduation, Tam also ranked 110th in the top 200 candidates in block A00 with high scores nationwide.

Tam shared that she has loved Mathematics since she was in first grade. Numbers and calculations, which were considered boring, have a special appeal to her. This was also the year Tam won second prize at the provincial level in the Internet Math Olympiad. In the following stages of her studies, Tam was fortunate to study with teachers who had an inspiring and lively teaching style, adding motivation and nurturing her passion for Mathematics. “To me, Mathematics is a world of logical thinking and discovery. Difficult problems are challenges that I want to conquer. There were problems that took me all day to find the solution, but when I solved them, I felt very happy,” Tam confided.

Pursuing his dream of becoming a Math teacher since he was a child, Tam applied to study Mathematics Education at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. Ms. Truong Thi Le Nga, Tam's mother, shared: "Since childhood, Tam has been self-aware in everything. He always arranges his study corner neatly, has a scientific study schedule, and balances between studying and playing. His family does not put pressure on him but always encourages him to try. Every time he receives an award, he takes a portion to buy books and gifts for orphans, sick people, and poor students..."

Ms. Phan Ngoc Chieu An, Math teacher, homeroom teacher of class 12A1, said: “Tam is a student who is both intelligent, hard-working and has a high sense of self-awareness. She is always a perfectionist in everything, and does very well in every subject. During her 3 years of high school, as a deputy class monitor, Tam has always enthusiastically supported her friends in their studies, actively participated in school and class activities and sports movements. The achievement of being the valedictorian of the province's high school graduation is not only a joy for Tam and her family, but also a source of pride for her teachers and the school.”
