On the afternoon of May 22, Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session of the Provincial People's Committee with a delegation of Taiwanese electronics enterprises led by Mr. Chen Hung Chin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wieson Company, on a number of investment cooperation contents in the province. Attending the working session was Comrade Vu Ngoc Tri, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Expressing his joy at welcoming the Taiwanese electronics business delegation to visit and work in the province, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee briefly introduced to the delegation the geographical location, potentials and strengths of the province; and affirmed: The investment cooperation opportunities of the province are currently very large when Thai Binh has 10 industrial parks and 49 industrial clusters with a total area of nearly 2,800 hectares. In particular, the province has Thai Binh Economic Zone with an area of over 30,500 hectares, planned with 22 industrial parks always ready to welcome investors. In addition, the province's traffic infrastructure is invested synchronously, modernly, conveniently connecting with neighboring provinces and cities across the country. In the province, there are currently 35 Taiwanese enterprises investing in industrial parks and clusters, of which in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park (Thai Thuy) alone, there are 4 Taiwanese investors with a total investment capital of nearly 700 million USD.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: Taiwan has a world- leading electronics industry, especially semiconductor chips, which is very suitable for the industry that Thai Binh is calling for investment; therefore, he respectfully invites Taiwanese enterprises to come to Thai Binh to research and survey investment opportunities and business cooperation, and at the same time commits that the province will create the most favorable conditions for enterprises and investors to come to Thai Binh.

He expressed his hope that after the working session, more and more Taiwanese enterprises will come to study and learn about investment opportunities and implement investment and production projects in the province.

Mr. Chen Hung Chin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wieson Company, expressed his impression of the socio -economic development results of Thai Binh province in the past time, especially in 2023 and the first months of 2024. Before the working session, the delegation conducted a field survey at a number of industrial parks in the province and found that Taiwanese enterprises investing in Thai Binh are operating very effectively in production and business.

Mr. Chen Hung Chin also gave an overview of the investment fields of the enterprises in the working group and said that today's working session is very important, helping Taiwanese enterprises access more information as well as the potential and advantages of the province to decide to invest in Thai Binh.

At the meeting, provincial leaders and representatives of departments and branches discussed and clarified a number of issues of interest to Taiwanese investors such as: priority investment areas of the province, investment strengths of the province, incentive mechanisms and policies, etc.
