The opening ceremony of Vietnam Culture - Tourism Week in Poland

On June 22, at Warsaw Old Town Square - a World Cultural Heritage recognized by UNESCO since 1980, the 3rd Vietnam Cultural Festival in Poland took place, marking the opening event of the Vietnam Culture - Tourism Week in this Central European country.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam in coordination with the Embassy of Vietnam in Poland, the Association of Vietnamese in Poland and the Tourism Development Support Fund. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam Ho An Phong, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai; Chairman of Śródmieście District (Central District of Warsaw) Aleksander Ferens along with Chairmen of Vietnamese Associations and Delegations in Poland attended and cut the ribbon to open the festival.

This is the first time the festival has been held in the historic center of Warsaw, attracting the attention and enthusiastic response of many overseas Vietnamese, local and international friends.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the event.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Aleksander Ferens, Chairman of the Central District of Śródmieście – Warsaw, expressed his joy that the district was chosen as the venue for the Vietnam Cultural Festival, and appreciated the fact that the event brought unique and new cultural colors from an Eastern country that is loved by the Polish people. He emphasized: "This is a valuable opportunity for the people of the capital Warsaw to directly experience the beauty of Vietnamese culture - a country with a long history and rich traditions".

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam Ho An Phong sent greetings to the Vietnamese community in Poland and international friends.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai also appreciated the close coordination between the Vietnamese community in Poland and the specialized units of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam in bringing a rich, diverse and national identity-rich art program. He affirmed: "The event not only contributes to promoting the image of the beautiful country of Vietnam but also serves as a bridge to foster the friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and Poland."

The festival is an impressive start to a series of rich activities within the framework of the Vietnam Culture - Tourism Week in Poland, including an art photo exhibition introducing traditional handicraft products and Vietnamese cuisine combined with activities promoting tourism programs from leading businesses in the travel industry.

International tourists enjoy Vietnamese cuisine

The highlight of the event was a special art program performed by the Vietnam Music and Dance Theater, along with performances by the Vietnamese community in Poland. More than 1,000 audiences, including overseas Vietnamese, locals and international tourists, enjoyed the unique performances by artists from Vietnam - from traditional music with national instruments, attractive contemporary folk dances, to Vietnamese - Polish songs imbued with friendship. The endless applause from the audience was a vivid testament to the strong spread of Vietnamese culture in the beautiful country of Poland.

Vietnam Culture - Tourism Week in Poland attracts a large audience

The festival not only contributes to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the Vietnamese community in Poland, but is also an effective bridge to bring the image of the country and people of Vietnam closer to international friends.
