On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Ministry of Home Affairs will preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security , Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television, and the Hanoi People's Committee to organize a meeting with people with meritorious services and historical witnesses in Hanoi. The event will take place from July 23-24, 2025. The total number of delegates with meritorious services to the revolution attending the meeting is expected to be 250 people.

This is also one of eight key central-level activities in Plan No. 4692/KH-BNV to organize activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Vietnam War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025) issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs .
Accordingly, the Plan for organizing activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Vietnam War Invalids and Martyrs Day aims to propagate and synchronously implement policies and laws on preferential treatment for people with revolutionary contributions in order toeducate the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary heroism for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, especially the young generation; continue to promote the movement of gratitude, mobilize resources in society to contribute to the good implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws on preferential treatment for people with revolutionary contributions.
The Ministry of Home Affairs also requested that activities commemorating the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day be organized solemnly, practically, economically and effectively; clearly assigning responsibilities to agencies and units in organizing and implementing.
The typical delegates attending the 2025 meeting are veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-uprising cadres, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes during the resistance war, historical witnesses; people with meritorious services to the revolution through the periods; representatives of relatives of martyrs who have made many contributions to the revolutionary cause, fighting, protecting and building the Fatherland.
The specific number of delegates from the units includes: Ministry of National Defense (10 people), Ministry of Public Security (10 people), Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (formerly) (15 people), Vietnam Veterans Association (5 people). In addition, there are about 210 delegates from 34 provinces and cities.
The meeting will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television.
