In the first 6 months of 2025, under the close leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Military Command has effectively implemented local military and defense tasks. In particular, the focus is on building the provincial armed forces in the direction of "streamlining - compactness - strength", in accordance with the characteristics of the 2-level local government organization.
Agencies and units in the provincial armed forces have reviewed and arranged the organization of forces to be deployed on schedule, closely following the practical situation, ready to handle complicated situations in the area.
At the conference, leaders of regional defense commands and commanders of 135 commune and ward military commands pointed out the advantages and difficulties in advising local Party committees and authorities on the implementation of military and defense tasks.
Notably, the issue of ensuring operating costs for the militia force; difficulties and obstacles in military recruitment in 2026; planning the barracks of the regional defense command and the office of the commune-level military command in accordance with the general planning of the locality.
Regarding the direction for the last 6 months of the year, Commander of the Provincial Military Command Nguyen The Vinh requested agencies and units to focus on the task of building the provincial defense area; military and defense tasks in border areas, seas and islands.
At the same time, organize emulation movements associated with building "exemplary and typical" units; closely coordinate between national defense and security in the position of firmly protecting strategic areas.
Maintain strict combat readiness, coordinate to protect border security, sea areas, and national sovereignty. Keep abreast of the situation to quickly handle political security situations, social order and safety, avoid being passive and surprised, especially in border areas, remote areas.
Strengthen inspection and direction of work on protecting confidentiality, information security and network security. Continue to implement the "Digital Education for the People" movement and promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in the provincial armed forces.
Actively advise on organizing command and staff exercises, combat readiness, disaster prevention and control exercises, and rescue exercises in accordance with reality, ensuring strictness and absolute safety. Continue to build and improve the quality of activities of the militia and self-defense force; perfect the staff of the commune-level military command and militia and self-defense force after merging administrative units.
The Commander of the Provincial Military Command also requested that the provincial armed forces must always be the core force in mass mobilization activities, supporting the overcoming of natural disaster consequences, search and rescue, increasing assistance to people, and strengthening people's trust in local Party committees and authorities.
