At the recent Gia Lai Province Investment Promotion Conference 2025, Nutifood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company (Nutifood) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee on comprehensive cooperation and increased investment to turn this place into a center for high-quality fresh milk production in the Central Highlands region in particular and Vietnam in general in the future.
The two sides aim to build Gia Lai into a “dairy cow paradise” and a center for high-quality fresh milk production in the Central Highlands region. To date, the total investment capital of this enterprise in Gia Lai has reached more than 4,500 billion VND, including 3,000 billion VND for the farm and 1,500 billion VND for the milk processing factory.
In the new phase, the company plans to continue investing an additional 6,000 billion VND to expand the farm scale, upgrade the factory and modern production line, large capacity, meeting world standards.
Many "tycoons" have been spending heavily to invest in expanding dairy farms.

Another large dairy corporation, TH Group, is also expanding, realizing that the domestic dairy industry is dependent on imported milk powder. To date, this unit owns a herd of nearly 70,000 dairy cows, with an average herd productivity of 35 liters of milk per day per cow.
According to the draft plan for the development of Vietnam's dairy industry until 2030, with a vision to 2045, the target for the industry is to achieve an average annual growth rate of about 12-14%/year. Of which, domestic raw fresh milk meets about 70-72% of the demand of the domestic dairy processing industry. At the same time, strive to achieve an average consumption of milk and dairy products of about 40 liters/person/year.
Vision to 2045, the average annual growth rate of the dairy industry is 5-6%/year. The output of processed liquid milk is about 7,500 million liters/year, the output of domestic raw fresh milk is about 6,200 million liters/year. Along with that, strive for the average consumption of milk and dairy products to reach about 70 liters/person/year.
The project also emphasizes the need to gradually increase the number of domestic dairy cows to maximize the advantages of the agricultural country, increase the output of fresh milk for domestic processing to gradually reduce dependence on imported dairy products and raw materials for milk processing.
