Ha Long University officially becomes HSK test site

On July 9, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 1994/QD/BGDDT on approving the joint organization of exams and granting of HSK Chinese language proficiency certificates between Ha Long University (Quang Ninh, Vietnam) and Chinese Language Testing International Education Technology Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China).

This Decision takes effect from July 9, 2025 to January 31, 2027.

Ha Long University HSK test site is the only HSK test site in Quang Ninh authorized by Beijing Chinese Language Testing InternationalEducation Technology Co., Ltd. to organize HSK-HSKK paper-based and computer-based tests.

After more than 1 year of preparing facilities and management team to improve the quality of testing and ensure the rights of test takers, the HSK test site of Ha Long University has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Training to organize the test.

Every year, Ha Long University is responsible for reporting to the Ministry of Education and Training on activities related to the organization, implementation and management of joint examination organization, issuance of HSK Chinese language proficiency certificates and periodically updating the database on joint examination organization and issuance of foreign language proficiency certificates with foreign countries of the Ministry of Education and Training every 6 months.

The Department of Quality Management is responsible for inspecting and coordinating with relevant units to inspect the organization, implementation and management of the association of the associated parties.

Currently, HSK test results can be used for many purposes: Basis for school admission, class division, tuition exemption, credit recognition; companies recruiting, training, promoting employees; Chinese learners self-understanding, improving their own Chinese application ability; Chinese teaching units, Chinese training to evaluate teaching results or training results. In addition, HSK certificate is used to apply for "Chinese Lecturer Scholarship" (formerly Confucius Institute Scholarship) and is a necessary condition when coming to China to participate in summer and winter camps.
