Of these, 8,504/12,993 mothers were screened prenatally, reaching 65.5% (equal to 66% of the target assigned in 2025), thereby detecting 138 cases of malformations and abnormalities; 69 cases were monitored for treatment and 22 cases of pregnancy termination.

The number of newborns screened was 7,257/12,058, reaching 60.2% (equal to 45.61% of the target assigned in 2025), through which 275 children were found to be at high risk of the disease, 161 children were counseled and monitored during the treatment process.
The above results show that the rate of prenatal screening is quite high compared to the set target, however the rate of newborn screening is still quite modest. The health sector expects to achieve both of these targets by 2025.
