At 7:00 a.m. on August 30, the center of storm No. 6 was at 17.7°N – 108.0°E, in the sea area of ​​Ha Tinh - Hue City; ~210km east of Quang Tri Province. Strongest wind: level 8 (62–74km/h), gusting to level 10. Storm No. 6 moved to the West Northwest at a speed of 20km/h.

Forecast, at 7:00 p.m. on August 30, the storm will move west-northwest, at a speed of about 20km/h, enter the mainland of Ha Tinh - Bac Quang Tri provinces and gradually weaken into a tropical depression on the mainland of the provinces from Ha Tinh to Bac Quang Tri. The intensity is level 7, gusting to level 9. The affected area is the western sea area of ​​the North East Sea, the sea area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City (including Hon Ngu Island, Con Co special zone).

At 7:00 a.m. on August 31, the tropical depression moved west-northwest at about 20km/h, moving inland and weakening into a low pressure area over Central Laos.

Due to the influence of storm No. 6, the Northwest of the East Sea (including Hoang Sa): strong winds of level 6-7; waves 2.0-4.5m high, rough seas. The sea area of ​​Thanh Hoa - Hue City (including Hon Ngu, Con Co) has stormy rain: strong winds of level 6-7, near the storm center level 8, gusts of level 10; waves 2.0-4.0m high, near the storm center 3.0-5.0m high; rough seas. Rising water: the coastal area of ​​Nghe An - Hue City has a rising water level of 0.2-0.4m.

Weather warnings at sea and in coastal areas are very dangerous and unsafe for vehicles and structures operating in dangerous areas such as: cruise ships, passenger ships, transport ships, cages, rafts, and aquaculture areas.

From noon on August 30, coastal Nghe An - Quang Tri: winds gradually increase to level 6, gusting to level 8. Particularly inland coastal Ha Tinh - Northern Quang Tri: winds level 6-7, near the storm center level 8, gusting to level 10. There may be strong thunderstorms and tornadoes before the tropical depression/storm directly affects.

August 30 – end of August 31: Thanh Hoa – Hue City heavy to very heavy rain (150–300mm, locally >500mm).

August 30 - end of August 31: Northern midlands, deltas and Da Nang city have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain (70-150mm, some places >300mm).
