Previously, storm No. 5 caused prolonged heavy rain, on National Highway 47, the section passing through Yen Nhan commune, there were many serious landslides, causing traffic jams and isolating many villages, hundreds of houses in Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes were buried and severely damaged. At some curved and downhill locations, flash floods and flash floods along with rising river water swept away 2/3 of the road surface, creating dangerous deep ravines, paralyzing traffic.

Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4, along with the working delegation and local authorities visited and encouraged the families who suffered heavy losses and presented more than 2 tons of dry food, canned meat, instant noodles and other essential goods. At the same time, 400 more officers and soldiers were mobilized to support people in rebuilding their houses and overcoming the consequences of the storm.

He also requested the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command to continue to pay attention and support forces and means to help people in areas heavily damaged by storms and floods to soon stabilize their lives.
