Losing to Russian club, Vietnam women's volleyball team finished second in VTV Ferroli Cup 2025

VHO - The Vietnamese women's volleyball team ended the VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament as runner-up after a regrettable 2-3 loss to Korabelka Club (Russia) in the final.

The opponent of the Vietnamese girls in the final match of VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 taking place on the evening of July 5 at Vinh Phuc Stadium (Phu Tho) is a very strong Russian team.

Vietnamese girls finished second for the second consecutive year at the tournament.

In the final of last year's tournament, the Vietnamese women's team also lost to Korabelka and won the runner-up position.

The final match between the two strongest teams of the tournament was exciting and dramatic until the last minutes.

The Vietnamese women's team had a bad start when they lost 19-25 and 14-25 in the first two sets.

However, in the next 2 sets, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and her teammates played explosively, bringing joy and pride to the audience at Vinh Phuc stadium and fans watching on television.

In set 3, Bich Tuyen made her mark by helping the Vietnamese women's team create a score gap at the beginning of the match.

However, Korabelka gradually regained control of the game and at times created a gap in points with the Vietnamese team.

The set became more and more tense and dramatic towards the end and the Vietnamese team successfully came back to win with a score of 25-23.

Set 4 was a balanced match, but towards the end, the Vietnamese girls' fighting spirit increased. Bich Tuyen had powerful smashes, helping her team score points and putting more pressure on her opponents.

Bich Tuyen's smash ended set 4 with a score of 25-21 and the VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 final had to go into the 5th game.

Korabelka entered the match with extremely high spirits. However, Bich Tuyen also played impressively, helping the Vietnamese team increase their score when at one point they led 9-6.

Towards the end of the match, the two teams' tug of war for points made the final match tense to the climax. In the end, Korabelka Club won set 5 with a score of 20-18.

The VTV Ferroli Cup 2025 finally ended with a 3-2 victory for Korabelka Club.

Despite losing, the Vietnamese girls played bravely, trying their best until the last ball but could not successfully turn the game around even though they were down 2-0.
