Defeating Chinese Taipei, Vietnam team competes in VTV Cup 2025 volleyball final

(NLDO) – The Vietnamese women's volleyball team repeated the 3-0 victory over Chinese Taipei from a month ago at the AVC Nations Cup, winning a ticket to the VTV Cup final.

Declaring that they would defeat the host team Vietnam in the VTV Cup volleyball semi-final, Chinese Taipei still could not break the "curse" of defeat against the team of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet. With the enthusiastic support of a large audience at Vinh Phuc Stadium, plus the efforts of the players from the official to the reserve, the Vietnamese team completed the first target of winning a ticket to the final of the tournament on home ground for the second consecutive year.

Chinese Taipei tried hard in every phase, both defense and attack, but still could not save the game. The Vietnamese team took advantage of this opportunity to end the game with a score of 25-16.

After an overwhelming victory over Chinese Taipei, the Vietnamese team will meet Korabelka, recreating the VTV Cup 2024 final in the decisive match to determine the highest position of this season's VTV Cup.

The final match between Vietnam and Korabelka will take place at 7:30 p.m. on July 5.

Before that, there will be matches for 7th and 8th place between the Australian team and Sichuan Club (China); the U21 Vietnam team will compete for 5th and 6th place with U21 Thailand; and Chinese Taipei and the Philippines will compete for 3rd place.
