"Anti-fraud squad" for students in Ho Chi Minh City

(NLDO)- Each school will establish a "360 Team", a core force in maintaining a warning information channel and spreading knowledge about fraud prevention.

On August 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Youth Union coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center to organize the launching ceremony of the program "Tour 360: Safe schools in the digital age".

The launching ceremony of the program "Tour 360: Safe schools in the digital age" took place on August 28 at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (HCMC).

The program will equip students with skills to prevent, identify and handle situations, know how to verify information and warn when detecting fraudulent behavior, aiming to build a safe and healthy school environment, minimizing financial and personal information risks; at the same time, promote close coordination between schools, authorities, the press and organizations to form a sustainable fraud prevention network.

Mr. Le Nguyen Nam, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center, said that the program does not only stop at propagating the identification and prevention of fraud, but also encourages students to become active propagandists, joining hands to build a safe and civilized school environment, preventing fraud from infiltrating the lives of students.

"This is a meaningful activity, carried out with close coordination between authorities, organizations and schools. Students not only protect themselves but can also join hands with their families, relatives and friends to participate in fraud prevention, contributing to building a safe and healthy school and community environment," Mr. Nam emphasized.

The program is a key content in the project of the City Police Youth Union to take the initiative and improve the effectiveness of propaganda to prevent all types of criminal offenses in Ho Chi Minh City.

The program is expected to deploy a series of activities with 30 topics through seminars, workshops and creative interactive activities.

For students, the program is organized in the form of a combination of seminars, infographic exhibitions, minigames, situational musicals and direct dialogues with experts from the Ho Chi Minh City Police, psychologists and KOLs. For high school students, the activity is organized in the form of propaganda at the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week with the content of direct exchange and Q&A with experts.

Each school will establish a "360 Team", a core force in maintaining a warning information channel and spreading anti-fraud knowledge in the school community. The program is expected to last until December 2025 and will be held at high schools, colleges and universities in the city.
