Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and representatives of ministries have a dialogue with farmers at the Conference of the Prime Minister's Dialogue with Vietnamese Farmers.

On September 19, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union announced: The Government Office has just sent an official dispatch to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development regarding the organization of a conference for the Prime Minister to dialogue with Vietnamese farmers.

The dispatch clearly states: Considering the proposal of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agrees with the proposal of the Central Committee of the Union on organizing the Conference of the Prime Minister's dialogue with Vietnamese farmers to be held in October 2023 (specific time will be announced later).

According to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, following the success of the 4 times of organizing the Conference of the Prime Minister's Dialogue with Vietnamese Farmers in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, implementing the Conclusion of the Prime Minister at the 4th Conference of the Prime Minister's Dialogue with Vietnamese Farmers held in Son La province (May 2022), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union is assigned to chair the annual Conference to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for farmers, serving agricultural production and business.

In that spirit, to prepare for the Conference of the Prime Minister's Dialogue with Vietnamese Farmers in 2023, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union organized to collect opinions from officials and farmer members in the entire Union system; at the same time, directed the Today's Rural Newspaper/Dan Viet electronic newspaper to collect opinions from readers, experts, scientists, and businesses on issues facing agriculture, farmers, and rural areas at present and in the future.

Up to now, nearly 2,000 questions, proposals, opinions, and wishes from officials, farmer members of the entire Association system; readers, experts, scientists, businesses, etc. have been sent to the head of the Government at this year's Conference. From the above proposals and recommendations, it is expected that the theme of this year's Dialogue Conference will focus on the following main issues: Promoting multi-value agricultural economy, associated with green and sustainable growth.

It is known that after the 2022 Conference of the Prime Minister's Dialogue with Vietnamese Farmers, implementing the Prime Minister's Conclusion, 11 ministries, branches, and localities have focused on implementing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for farmers. Many issues were resolved by the ministries and branches immediately after the Conference and many issues were built into mechanisms and policies by the ministries and branches to fundamentally solve the problems of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas in the long term.

In particular, most of the provinces and centrally-run cities have organized the Provincial/Municipal Party Standing Committee's Conference to dialogue with farmers; the Provincial/Municipal People's Committee Chairman's Conference to dialogue with farmers. In particular, in Hanoi City, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung directly chaired the Standing Committee's Conference to dialogue with farmers; most recently, Ho Chi Minh City also organized the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Chairman's Conference to dialogue with farmers under the chairmanship of the City People's Committee Chairman Phan Van Mai.
