Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh worked with leaders of JBS Group - the world's leading group in the field of food processing, headquartered in Brazil and representative offices in 24 countries and territories.
Mr. Fábio Maia de Oliveira said that JBS has been present in Vietnam since 2021. Currently, the Group has established 2 companies in Vietnam operating in the fields of frozen food distribution and leather production. JBS has plans and desires to expand its investment in Vietnam.
Congratulating the Group's business results globally and in Vietnam in recent times, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated JBS Group for organizing the export of the first batch of beef to Vietnam and planning to expand investment cooperation in Vietnam.

The Prime Minister said that the Vietnam-Brazil relationship continues to develop well, especially when the two countries completed the upgrade to a Strategic Partnership in November 2024. On the basis of promoting the foundation of good political and diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Prime Minister hopes that Brazilian enterprises, including JBS Group, will continue to pay attention to and expand investment and business cooperation in the Vietnamese market.
Along with serving a consumer market of more than 100 million people and a growing middle class, Vietnam is ready to be the gateway for JBS to enter the ASEAN region, Northeast Asian countries such as China. The Prime Minister hopes that the Group will strengthen cooperation with domestic partners to bring the Group's products to Vietnamese and regional consumers as well as bring Vietnamese agricultural products to the Brazilian market and the Group's global market network, making the most of Vietnam's 17 free trade agreements with more than 60 leading economies in the world.
Vietnam is promoting negotiations towards signing a free trade agreement with Brazil and the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR). Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked JBS Group to contribute to promoting this process, thereby also creating conditions for the Group to operate more effectively and continue to expand production and business in Vietnam.

The Prime Minister pledged that the Vietnamese Government will accompany and create favorable conditions for JBS Group to invest in effective, long-term and sustainable business in accordance with legal regulations in Vietnam in the coming time; suggested that the Group cooperate and support domestic partners to improve their capacity, especially in the stages of: Market development, technology transfer, product promotion, etc. Thereby, bringing Vietnam to participate more deeply and sustainably in the global supply chain.
Agreeing with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's opinion, Mr. Fábio Maia de Oliveira said that JBS is ready to make Vietnam a production and distribution center for JBS's agricultural products and food in the region and globally.
