Equal opportunity to "work, be recognized, and contribute"
At the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement to implement the training program, support employment and digital economic startups for people with disabilities, organized by the Center for Supporting Vietnamese Youth Startups (SYS Vietnam), the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX) - Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) and the Vietnam Association of Youth with Disabilities on the afternoon of July 10, Mr. Nguyen Phan Huy Khoi, Director of SYS Vietnam emphasized that people with disabilities not only need but also deserve to be given the opportunity to study, work and live on their own abilities.
For people with disabilities, this is not only an opportunity to access knowledge but also a door to affirm their role in modern society. The digital environment, if properly guided, is where people with disabilities can learn a trade, work and be independent in their livelihoods on an equal basis.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Pham Van Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Disabled Youth Association, said: “We want to contribute and live a useful life. Having a career, a livelihood, and the opportunity to be in control of our lives are the aspirations of millions of disabled people in Vietnam.”
According to statistics, there are currently more than 6.2 million people with disabilities nationwide, but most of them have never had the opportunity to learn a trade, access technology or receive support to start a business. Mr. Thanh believes that the cooperation with SYS Vietnam and eComDX will open up a new access channel, bringing people with disabilities closer to reality, gradually building a community of people with disabilities who are self-reliant and deeply integrated into the digital economy.

Connecting three resources: State, enterprises and social organizations
The signing ceremony marks a new development step in applying technology to social support, creating conditions for people with disabilities - especially young people with disabilities - to access business skills, develop careers and create stable livelihoods in the digital environment.
According to the signed content, the three units will coordinate to organize a series of training courses, provide learning resources and connect with the creator community, and support the construction of suitable product distribution channels through digital platforms, such as TikTok Shop, livestream sales, affiliate marketing, etc.
This cooperation agreement establishes a tripartite cooperation model: the State, enterprises and social organizations. In which, training courses on digital skills, e-commerce and modern business thinking will be specifically designed, suitable for the accessibility and actual conditions of people with disabilities.
Mr. Bui Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX), said that technology platforms, e-commerce ecosystems and training programs contribute to connecting people with disabilities with businesses and markets. The ultimate goal is not only to equip people with new skills, but also to help people with disabilities have more motivation and will to start a business.

At the event, a team of experts in the fields of e-commerce, digital media and technology equipped students with the ability to create content and operate businesses effectively on digital platforms.
The training program focuses on key skills such as building a personal content channel, choosing products suitable for the affiliate marketing model, applying artificial intelligence (AI) in short video production, organizing livestream sales, as well as using data analysis tools to optimize communication effectiveness and revenue.
In addition, students are also guided on how to position personal values, build a brand, tell life stories as a strategy to emotionally connect with customers and develop sustainable careers in the digital environment.
The program also covers ethical principles in the use of AI tools and updates to TikTok's platform operating policies - including commercial content standards, product review processes, and mainstream monetization mechanisms such as TikTok Shop, affiliates, and livestreaming.
This helps students not only get acquainted with technology but also understand the legal framework and community standards when operating on digital platforms.
In particular, students are divided into groups, develop scripts, record videos and test livestreams right in the actual studio. Practice sessions include direct feedback and comments from instructors, helping students gradually improve their skills and master tools in their digital transformation journey.
The cooperation between SYS Vietnam, eComDX and the Vietnam Association of Youth with Disabilities is not just a memorandum of understanding, but the beginning of a long-term commitment to open up new opportunities for the disabled community. With the support of technology and humanitarian spirit, the program is expected to contribute to building a fair and harmoniously developed society.
The program "Improving digital business capacity for 20 million Vietnamese youth" was launched in 2022 and has so far trained nearly 8,000 youth through online classes and field training.
In the context of digital transformation being identified by the Government as a new growth driver, establishing a training model specifically for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities is a necessary step to increase inclusiveness in access to technology, while forming a diverse, humane and sustainable e-commerce - digital content ecosystem.
