- On the morning of July 10, the Department of Health of Lang Son province held a conference to review the medical work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. The conference was connected to 17 provincial hospital bridges and regional medical centers.
According to the report, in the first 6 months of 2025, the health sector has focused on synchronously implementing tasks, ensuring the care and protection of people's health and disease prevention. The sector has successfully completed the work of ensuring health for major events of the province, arranging the organizational structure according to the 2-level local government model, ensuring uninterrupted medical examination and treatment for the people.
As a result, the provincial health sector has completed 4/6 key tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee in 2025; completed and exceeded 12/13 socio -economic development targets in 2025 in the health sector, typically: the whole province has 2,862 hospital beds (target 2,790 beds ); 34 hospital beds/10,000 people (target 33.6 beds); the rate of malnourished children under 5 years old by weight decreased to 14.8% (target below 14.9%), by height decreased to 21.4% (target 21.6%)...
The whole sector has examined and treated more than 631,000 people , reaching nearly 66% of the 2025 plan, of which 74,450 were inpatients at hospitals and commune health stations, and 66,454 were outpatients. The rate of medical examination and treatment using chip-embedded citizen identification cards reached 84.5%, the rate of cashless hospital fee payment reached 71.4%. Expanded immunization work was maintained with 96.3% of children under 1 year old fully vaccinated, an increase of 6.4% over the same period in 2024.
During the program, delegates were informed about regulations on decentralization and delegation of power in the health sector and the arrangement and organization of local health facilities according to the 2-level local government model.
At the conference , delegates discussed and focused on a number of contents: the activities of health stations after the merger; the progress of implementing electronic medical records; solutions to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment at the grassroots level; medical examination and treatment covered by health insurance at the commune level; ensuring the supply of drugs and biological products; proposing training for cultural and social officers in charge of medical work at the commune level...
Concluding the conference, the leaders of the Department of Health requested that functional departments, hospitals, regional medical centers, and health stations continue to promote the spirit of initiative, review, and focus on completing the targets for 2025; research and implement regulations on decentralization and delegation of authority in the health sector and arrange and organize local health facilities according to the 2-level local government model. At the same time, accelerate the progress of deploying electronic medical records; develop a budget plan for 2026 and the period 2026-2030, especially the plan for autonomy and public investment; improve the quality of health services and effectively implement the work of protecting and taking care of people's health in the new situation.
