At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented a detailed plan for the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. The celebration aims to review the glorious tradition and honor the great contributions of Vietnam's revolutionary press, while affirming the important role of the press in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
As planned, the meeting of generations of journalists and leaders of press agencies will take place at 1:30 p.m. on June 18 at the Provincial People's Committee. Then, the official celebration will be held at 3:30 p.m. the same day at Hall No. 1 of the Provincial People's Committee with the participation of more than 500 delegates from the central to local levels.
The content of the celebration program includes: Welcome performance, screening of the report "100 years of Quang Nam journalism", speeches by provincial leaders and representatives of press agencies, awarding of the "For the cause of journalism" Medal and honoring exemplary journalists.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized that this is a special event, both an occasion of gratitude and an opportunity for the Quang Nam press to look back on its development journey and continue to affirm its pioneering role in information work and orienting public opinion.
Mr. Ho Quang Buu requested that relevant units coordinate closely, implement on schedule and ensure the organization of the event is solemn, practical and effective. In addition to the main activities, there will be an intimate meal to create a warm atmosphere, connecting journalists in the province.
